SETH⁷ PHILBROOK  (JOEL⁶, JOB⁵, JONATHAN⁴, WILLIAM³, THOMAS² PHILBRICK, THOMAS¹)

Seth Philbrook was born January 5, 1795 in Vinalhaven, Knox Co., Maine and died November 10, 1861 in Vandalia, Fayette Co., Illinois.  He married Margaret Ward on April 2, 1818 in Licking Co., Ohio.  She was born December 26, 1797 in Ohio and died December 15, 1861 in Vandalia, Fayette Co., Illinois.  Both Seth and Margaret are buried in the "Old State Cemetery" in Vandalia.  Seth and Margaret had 11 children.  Three of their boys would fight for the Union during the Civil War (Albert, Falvious & Edwin).
