GEORGE⁸ PHILBRICK  (SAMUEL⁷, SAMUEL⁶, BENJAMIN⁵, EPHRAIM⁴, JOSEPH³, JAMES², THOMAS¹)

    George Philbrick was born on January 21, 1830 in Skowhegan, Maine.  He married Lucy A. Fellows on December 30, 1856 in Waterville, Maine.  Lucy was born on June 24, 1833 in Deerfield, New Hampshire.  George was a prominent jeweler in Skowhegan and crafted and sold watches, silverware and jewelry.  This business card shows that his store was on Water Street in Skowhegan.  George & Lucy's children were:  Carrie F. Philbrick, born October 15, 1857; Charles G. Philbrick, born September 8, 1862 and died October 4, 1877; John R. Philbrick, born March 31, 1865;  Mary W. Philbrick, born July 24, 1867 and died March 17, 1870; and Albert G. Philbrick born April 16, 1872.
